This homemade taco seasoning is so easy to make and tastes even better than its store-bought counterpart. Plus it has less sodium and costs less too. I highly recommend trying it out. I bet you'll never go back to buying taco seasoning again!

Ingredients
  • 1/4cupchili powder
  • 1tsp.onion powder
  • 1tsp.garlic powder
  • 2tsp.paprika
  • 4tsp.salt(sea salt. Or use 1+1/2 tsp. table salt)
  • 1Tbsp.ground black pepper
  • 1tsp.dried oregano
  • 1/2tsp.crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2Tbsp.ground cumin
Ingredients
  • 1/4cupchili powder
  • 1tsp.onion powder
  • 1tsp.garlic powder
  • 2tsp.paprika
  • 4tsp.salt(sea salt. Or use 1+1/2 tsp. table salt)
  • 1Tbsp.ground black pepper
  • 1tsp.dried oregano
  • 1/2tsp.crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2Tbsp.ground cumin
Instructions
  1. You can mix this up 1 of 2 ways. One is to throw everything into a container that has an airtight lid and shake it up. Done. (then you can store it right in this container). The other is to mix all ingredients in a small bowl, then transfer to an airtight container to store it in. Since I hate doing more dishes than necessary, I always go with the first option.
  2. Use about 2-3 Tbsp. of this mixture in lieu of 1 packet of store-bought taco seasoning, following same guidelines for cooking.

  • If you want a little extra kick, throw in a bit more of the crushed red pepper flakes or some cayenne pepper to taste.
